How much PFAS is measured in your blood?

PFAS can enter your body through sources including food and drinking water. Our PFAS blood test measures the concentrations of the PFAS substances included in the analysis in your blood serum.

You receive a Tasso+ kit at home, collect your sample according to the instructions and return it to World Health Laboratories (WHL) for laboratory analysis.

Analysis using a panel of 27 PFAS substances

WHL analyses your serum using a panel of 27 PFAS substances, including PFOS, PFOA, PFNA, PFHxS, PFBS, PFDA, PFHxA, PFHpA and GenX (HFPO-DA). Your report lists the individual determinations and measured values.

TFA is not included. This is a specific PFAS test, rather than a general blood test for cholesterol, vitamins or heavy metals.

What do you receive?

What does your result tell you?

The result provides insight into concentrations measured at the time of sampling and your exposure. It does not identify where the PFAS came from, predict whether you will become ill or explain existing health symptoms.

Reference values in a report are not a simple dividing line between healthy and unhealthy. Discuss medical questions or symptoms with your doctor. For general questions about PFAS in your surroundings, contact your local public health service.
